The urge to write is sparked off in many ways – a thought, an image,  a sound,  a fragrance, a dream, memories or maybe just an experience. Little do I know when the strain of inspiration will hit me next. What I do know is that when it does, I will be ready – waiting with pen, paper, laptop and bated breath – looking at life through my rose tinted glasses struggling to capture the moment before it vanishes into  the distance.

There would be times when I will take off my rosy shades to look at life with a different perspective. I will laugh, sulk, cry, feel blue, despair, soar, smile and  paint my pictures in roseate, blush, fuchsia or ashes of roses.

I gave this suggestion to Natasha, and thought I should share it with you. You may like it.

Buy a small, leather bound journal. One you can carry in your pocket. At the end of every month, have your child write something in it, if he or she wants to. Your child can only write on one page for each month, and he can write, or draw whatever he can think of. Do this for as long as you want to.

BUT, keep in mind that this could be a bad idea. Maybe your child will not want to write in it when he or she gets older. A broken heart sucks.
